COMPANY INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

HighPoint provides a full spectrum of RAID HBA solutions for wide scale storage applications. We are long recognized as an innovator of RAID HBA technology. For over 13 years we have continuously developed cutting edge RAID technologies to satisfy the industry’s ever-changing storage requirements.

  Some of HighPoint’s major achievements included delivering the industry’s first embedded IC chipset for parallel ATA (HPT366) to motherboard manufacturers and delivering RAID solutions to Fortune 500 companies (Google, Adaptec, SunMicro, Maxtor, Hitachi, San Disk, HP, Lenovo, Great Wall and Dawning) for applications including media capture, video surveillance, and medical imaging, database, file server and web servers.

Rich HBA Features
Comprehensive bus types and port count design are needed for versatile storage hardware platforms from legacy PCI to latest PCI-Express slot type. A wide selection of port count design meets a diversified class of storage scaled for internal and / or external connectivity.
 
HighPoint RAID IP (Intellectual Property) Suite

HighPoint TerabyteArchitecture™ – is a robust RAID technology suite designed to achieve highly sustained performance and advance data protection to achieve business continuity.

TerabyteStream™ – An intelligent algorithm delivering maximum sustained performance by dynamically detecting I/O streams leveraging a powerful I/O processor with onboard cache.

TerabyteGuard™ – A selection of security features designed to maintain RAID integrity via routine inspection of storage hardware for defects induced by wear and tear.

TerabyteSaver™  –Maximizes the rate of data recovery and prevents data loss in the event of unexpected failures; ensuring data availability and business continuity.

 
Comprehensive OS Support
Comprehensive operating system support includes all major software releases. A unified driver model for the RocketRAID 3500 and 4300 hardware RAID series includes native Linux support from kernel 2.6.25 and FreeBSD 7.0 and above. All RocketRAID series controllers are delivered with (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X support.)
 
Universal RAID Management Suite
Three options are offered, each with it’s own centralized interface: Web GUI (a web based graphical interface), CLI (command line interface), and the Firmware/BIOS Utility (pre-OS RAID Management) and the independent RAID module onboard.
